PETRI HAWKINS BYRD, otherwise known as ‘Officer Byrd’ from the TV court show, Judge Judy, was born in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, New York. Byrd – as he’s known to friends and fans alike-, graduated from Eastern District High School, in Brooklyn and attended Hostos Community College, in the Bronx. In 1986, after being transferred from Brooklyn Family Court to Manhattan Family Court, Byrd met his future TV boss, Judge Judith Sheindlin. In 1989, Byrd received his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from John Jay College. (“Some folks graduated ‘magna cum laude’. I graduated ‘Thank you, Lordy”’! ) While enjoying the role that has brought him worldwide recognition, “Officer” Byrd, continues to seek opportunities to work in theatre, commercials, voiceovers and film. A published and recorded songwriter, the former Brooklynite is currently working on animation and spoken word projects, for children and adults. A staunch community activist, Byrd is the chairman of the national board for the O.K. Program – a mentorship organization designed to address social issues confronting young African-American males. He is also a board member of Teen Center USA, a faith-based youth program. He is delighted to be a part of Reesie’s Pieces.
JOANNA KELLY was Born and raised in Houston, Texas and a graduate of New York University, Joanna Kelly now resides in Los Angeles where she works as an actress and writer. Favorite past roles include the shows Comedy Bang Bang, Scandal, and the Dierks Bentley music video Drunk on a Plane.Joanna is also a regular contributor to Flip Magazine. In her spare time she enjoys blogging, traveling and mentoring aspiring young actors.
A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Nick Roy is a film and stage actor whose credits include working with Tony award-nominated directors Rachel Chavkin and Liz Swados. Nick continues to hone his craft, recently studying with Groundlings, Annie Grindlay, and Brian Reise Acting Studios. Last season he starred in a pilot for Warner Bros. Digital. Nick currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife and young daughter.
JADARREL BELSER – BAILIFF – I was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. I’ve always had a lifelong desire to be an actor. I’ve always loved sketch and improv comedy, in particular shows like ‘ In Living Color’ , ‘SNL’ , ‘ Whose Line is It Anyway’ and ‘ Chappelle’s Show’. My acting role models are Eddie Murphy and Bill Murray. I graduated from Jeff Davis High School in 2003 and the University of Phoenix Bachelor’s program in 2015. I did a 5 year stint in the US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman ( medic) for the Marines from 2003 to 2008. I started acting in 2010. I have previously performed and/or trained at The LA Connection, The Second City Hollywood, IO West and The Underground off Sunset. I am currently a member of the popular sketch comedy show ‘TMI Hollywood’ at the ACME Comedy Theater off La Brea in Hollywood. My film and TV credits included MegaShark Vs Crocosaurus, Vin Diesel’s The Ropes, Pop star: Never Stop Never Stopping, Syfy’s Geeks Who Drink and the upcoming All Def Digital movie ‘Major Deal’ I’ve done commercials for Geico, Tekkan Tag Team, and Kelley Blue Book. In addition to acting, I’m also a full time grad student( Business Major) , a writer/ host for pop culture site ‘ God Hates Geeks’ and the lead contributor to the popular blog ‘ Belser-Verse’ on Facebook.
