Dawn Noel: Producer/Actress
Dawn Noel is an accomplished dancer and actress who has, recently, moved to Los Angeles to expand her career into the film and television arenas. Born in Philadelphia, Dawn attended the prestigious High School for the Performing Arts and went on to get a BFA from the University of the Arts. She started her professional career as a member of Philadelphia’s Koresh Dance Company as well as with Ballet Hispanico and Elisa Monte Dance companies. Upon moving to NYC, she quickly was hired by both the NYC and Metropolitan Opera Ballets. Very soon Dawn was making her mark on Broadway with the ground breaking musical, The Lion King. This was quickly followed by her work in the Broadway productions of In The Heights and Fame. Dawn also toured with both Madonna and Jennifer Lopez as a featured dancer in their world wide tours. Dawn’s acting resume includes numerous commercials as well as lead roles in the indie films Salsa Lessons, Grand Slammed and My Normal. On television Dawn has been seen on NCIS, All My Children and Glee. She has also produced the short film “Shattered Pitch”.
Arlonda Washington: Co-Producer
Arlonda is a native of Jersey City, NJ and is currently residing in Los Angeles, CA. She often works as a UPM, Production Coordinator, Production Manager or Producer on various independent films. Some of her titles include The Suite, A Place in Hell, Crackerjacks, and Common Ground. With several projects slated for the coming year, her current projects include: 22 Years, Charlotte, HERSTORY and Stick & Move. Her main objective when producing is to maintain a positive environment on-set. In doing so, she not only provides healthy on-set options for craft services, but she also encourages focus, motivation, and excitement. Fred Thomas Jr: Director
Fred is a seven time 2012 N.A.A.C.P award nominee and winner of Best Director, Best Playwright and Best Producer for his play 12’ x 9’ is an alumnus of Temple University receiving his Masters in Film and Media Arts. His credits and achievements include being the founder of Temple University’s Black Media Collective, one of the original friends who spawned the Budweiser Whassup Guys! from the iconic Budweiser campaign, as well as producing several plays with Don B. Welch Productions, such as The Divorce and the tremendously successful The Bachelorette Party co-produced by actor Will Smith. To date, Thomas is the producer and co-star of the feature The Bachelor Party for Image Entertainment and a featured artist on BET Lens On Talent. He worked with Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment production team on Men In Black 3 and just wrapped as director/producer/actor on the film 24 Hour Love starring Lynn Whitfield, Tatyana Ali, Flex Alexander, Keith Robinson and Malinda Williams. Recently, TV-One network aired What Would Divas Do? Divalogues, a musical stage play co-created, produced and directed by Fred for the series R&B Divas L.A.
Renee McClellan: Co-Producer
A Chicago native, this EMMY award-winning writer has made the transition from stage and screen acting to writing, directing and producing for film and television projects. As an actress, she has performed in such productions as Brewster’s Place, Seinfield, and Deep Impact. A graduate of Chapman University with a BFA in Film Production, she also has an MFA in Screenwriting from The American Film Institute (AFI). Currently a Long Beach, CA resident, for more than ten years, Renee directed and produced an award winning show, THE ASK AURI TALKSHOW, which received the LB Award for Best Children’s Talkshow in 2004. She is a member of Screen Actors Guild (SAG), Alliance of Women Directors (AWD), Organization of Black Screenwriters (OBS), and Women In Film (WIF).Bashir Gavriel: Writer
Originally from South Florida, model turned actor, Bashir Gavriel knew early on what he wanted to do with his life. But instead of following the yellow brick road straight out of college, he decided to take the road less traveled. Understanding the hardships and financial instability of the entertainment industry, Bashir put moving to Los Angeles on hold to go to nursing school. Four years later, as a cardio/thoracic Registered Nurse, Bashir moved to Hollywood in 2007. Within a year and half, he secured commercial, theatrical, managerial, and voiceover representation. He obtained his SAG eligibility after impressing Bill Condon with his musical ability (Bashir plays both the piano and guitar). Condon featured him as the bandleader in a scene with Jennifer Hudson in the Academy Award-winning movie, Dreamgirls. Fast-forward to 2014 and Bashir has added over twenty-two credits to his resume and been on nine different networks. He most recently tested for the new NBC pilot, Mr. Robinson. As a writer, Bashir Gavriel has placed in several screenwriting competitions and recently co-wrote a script called “Paroled” to which Margaret Cho has officially attached to be in.Sean McDaniel: Cinematographer/Actor
Sean McDaniel has been working as a cinematographer for over a decade with projects in narrative, documentary and experimental films. Sean furthered his studies as a cinematographer while acquiring his MFA in Film Production at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. His work has been seen in numerous film festivals around the world including the Palm Springs Film Festival, LA Shorts Film Festival, HollyShorts, and the Vancouver International Film Festival, among others. This includes his work as a cinematographer on the Sloan Grant recipient short film, Nzara ’76. As a Director of Photography, Sean strives to tell powerful stories through his work behind the camera in support of his collaboration with talented directors.

JEISON TOMI – Jeison is a native of Bronx, New York. He has also lived in Miami, Phoenix, and presently in Los Angeles where he is continuing to pursue both music and film. His acting experience is compiled of mostly live theater including an appearance in Rent. He can also be seen in the independent film “Soul Eternal” , directed by Daniel Salinas. Jeison expects to pursue both his love for acting as well as his music career.
AMANDA SOFIA RODRIGUEZ – Amanda was born in Logan, Utah 8 years ago. She discovered her love for acting at the young age of 5. At the age of 7, she realized that she wanted to pursue acting professionally. Amanda has commercial, television, film, and modeling credits; she has also participated in many school plays. Her hobbies include swimming, roller-skating, drawing, reading, writing short stories, and spending time with family. She loves school and is one of the top students in her class. Besides her dream of becoming an actress, Amanda would also like to become a Veterinarian and to assist in animal rescue.
MARLENE MARQUEZ – Marlene was born in Mexico City. She has a BA in Communication Sciences from ITESM. Although she has worked in the Spanish media for a few years, her real passion is acting for stage and screen. Her goal is to develop her craft in hopes of becoming one of the most successful working actresses. Marlene feels blessed to be a part of the cast of The Rescue.
